I was in the store earlier today. I had hoped to purchase a furniture piece. I've had my eye on this piece for a while and was excited that a new one had finally arrived. I asked a worker to call for help because the box was too heavy for me to carry myself. I then heard a call go over the PA for help to furniture. There I waited and waited with no help arriving. I then asked another worker and told him I'd already been waiting for 15 mins and to call for help again. Keep in mind that both these workers were able bodied men and seemed to be doing nothing at the time. There I stood waiting again for another 20 mins, maybe longer until I got so frustrated that I just had to leave the store; with plans of writing a terrible review of course! My questions are where is the customer service they portray on their commercials, where is the store manager? Is it not his job to make sure customers are being taken care of? After 2 calls over the PA for help to furniture, should that not warrant him or anybody else in the store to perhaps walk by the section and see if there is indeed someone waiting for help? If they would have bothered themselves enough to come by, they would have seen me standing there with nothing to do but twittle my thumbs. I shop at Wal-Mart a lot, I guess you have to be an independent shopper it seems, cause if you need help there, it looks like you'll be standing alone. Not impressed.
